He knows it, he's just doing the Republican talking points that red states are better because there is "no crime" when that's a bold face lie.Does he know that Houston is blue? All the major cities in Texas are blue. Texas is large and all the rural bumblefukk areas are what make it red.
I honestly don't know if he actually even believes half of what he says, or if he's just pure right-wing grifting to help his pockets.

Dumbest argument ever because like others have said, Houston has a Democrat mayor. Also, is his definition of a red state based on where they voted in the electoral college or the governor? If the majority of the state is “red,” how does that affect what a blue city does? Even the governor being republican doesn’t really affect what happens in a “blue” city. I’ve lived in Chicago all my life. We’ve had democrats and republicans as governors and for the most part, the hood never changed.
