@OP I feel like anyone that isn't willing to kill the animal they eat, they shouldn't be eating one.

My mom told me a story as a kid about how they'd slaughter goats when a celebration occurred like Timkat (baptism). That story scarred me for life, I was a vegan for 10 years, vegetarian most of my life.
