Kill List is like Apocalypse Now Redux in that I feel these films are best enjoyed in the dark, getting increasingly high to emulate the mental dissolution experienced by the main characters

Kill List is one of the best movies of the last 5 years hands down.

Banshee Chapter was dope. Very unexpected little flick, highly recommended.

I knew there was some twist coming, but I didn't see that coming . I know its one of those films that is ambiguos and doesn't come out and explain everything. So the crazy, sick cult hired Jay and his friend in some bizarre ritual where Jay wound up becoming their new leader by killing his wife and son. That's why the priest said thank you and the 2nd guy said he knew who Jay was, right? At the end his wife seems to smile at him, like she was in on it. Jay is clearly damaged from his previous work. Is that why he was chosen. Thoughts?

I honestly have no idea ... but part of the movie's appeal is that it's a giant mindfukk

I believe she was in on it, the screeching she made matched perfectly with what the noises the other people in the cult were making.

There are so many things that point to her being in on it imo.
