LOL I seriously think these nikkas have been spoiled by that battle so much it's been a detriment to the culture a bit. It's almost like battle rap reached it's apex with that battle, and everything after is being compared to it, and if it doesn't match up to it, people are quick to say the battle was "Weak" or "Disappointing"

Nah it was just a lackluster one round battle. I'm burnt out on Math at this point and what Rex helped create has become the norm. It was nothing special. The fact that Cortez has gotten multiple mentions in this thread is evidence of that.

yeah, i didnt see Math winnin this one either. Math came out strong, but slowly fizzled out. i lowkey think that Math forgot his bars halfway thru his shyt, it seemed like he was ryhmin off the top.

also Math looked lame tryna give rex dap and Rex played him by not dappin him up. i dont even fucc with rex like that. But Rex got Math on this one. math did win 4 years ago when they battled but not on this one.

rex got mad personal and u could tell that that bonnie line hit math where it hurt. Rex sonned the shyt outta Cortez too.

I think there's just been an over saturation of the market. And you can blame it on two things. First, rappers are taking too many battles. Second, these other makeshift leagues copying :SMACK: blueprint and watering everything down. :SMACK: has quality control. He paced releases and events out in a way that kept everyone wanting more and willing to wait. At one point people were clammoring for the release of battles like Miles vs. Tech 9 or K-Shine vs. Calicoe. Now we get a new battle every other day.

Since there's 8000s battles a week, the fans have less patience for battles that aren't automatic certified classics.

1st battle, Rex won rounds 1 and 2....then lost round 3 when Math came with that classic 3rd Round.

2nd battle, Rex took this 1 round battle easily to me.
