Street fighter on ps3 has 1 frame of input lag compared to the 360 version.
Marvel on Ps3 has the same amount of lag AND dropped frames (play with two Sentinels on the screen and you'll know what I'm talking about
)If you're not feeling lag its probably because you've never played the Xbox version so you don't have a frame of reference

If you've played Marvel on ps3 and NEVER seen the screen slow down on certain stages(daily bugle) with certain characters (Sentinel) there's nothing i can convince you of
There's a reason why 90% of tournament marvel matches take place in training stage

Given all that's been revealed about Xbox One you can't blame them for reacting the way they did regardless of what game they were showing.
This is no different then how 90% of the gaming community have responded to the inferior graphics, privacy issues, and nickel and diming schemes Microsoft are bringing into next gen so expect to see a lot more of this in the future.
