8 fully unique characters with 8 distinct fighting styles/strategies is a good number especially for $20

Other fighters launch with 12-16 and a couple of them are very similar to each other for $60

And when it comes to tournament play. In most fighters you only see a couple characters being used. 8 is more than enough for some really good strategy and some exciting battles.

They are waiting for Nintendo to put smash bros in. And they didn't boo KI. They boo'd the fact that the main event was pushed back to allow a couple KI matches that were nothing more than an advertisement.

Injustice is at evo this year and a remake just came out. People are still playing it. Injustice kinda takes the place of mortal Kombat since they play so similarly.

As for KI, a season 2 is reliant on the success of season one, and I think being picked up by evo all but confirms that the game is succesful enough to continue on.

Here's some impressions people have dropped here.

I've had one since launch and I like it a lot. Most of the games are a lot of fun, and the kinect/media features work as advertised.

You should definitely get dead rising and Forza is great if you like racers. Ryse is fun but short, its worth it if you want to see the presentation/graphics power of your new console. All of the multiplats look and play better than last gen. Battlefield and 2k14 have some bugs but I believe they are being fixed. That's it. It's a great system and you will be right in time for the TitanFall beta.

PS4 is gonna have the better multi-plat games between the two consoles.
And those Sony exclusives
