I got no prob with Mike supporting gun rights. I disagree with him on some issues relating to guns but there's no question guns have played an integral role in civil rights.

My problem here is that he's in a video with the NRA, talking about fake allies who don't care about black people...when the NRA never has shyt to say about black people killed by cops. In fact when the NRA does say anything, they blame the black person. See: Dana basically saying Castille brought his death on himself. The NRA is not your friend or ally, in fact they profit off scaring white men who are scared of black people.

Ask yourself two things.

1. What would Huey Newton say about black ownership of guns?
2. What would Huey Newton think about the modern NRA?

We know the answer to #1. He fully supported the second amendment and recognized that its use could defend black people (to a degree) and force political change. But...what would Newton think about a rights organization that largely ignores black people while arming whites with propaganda videos wherein blacks are cast as savages? Anyone think he'd cosign this?
