People act like it's so easy to get a handgun anywhere in the US. I live in NC and your county sheriff has to approve all applications for a pistol permit. it's up to their discretion whether to approve it or not. Also if you want a conceal carry permit, he approves that too once the background check comes back. I dont have any felonies & was denied a purchase permit. I had to apply in another county using a relatives address and it was approved. I have no domestic violence charges and nothing in the past 20 years but was still denied. So the playing field is far from fair when it comes to the 2nd amendment
