What he's proposing here sounds very similar to the government having work and/or school requirements for individuals receiving SNAP, TA, and Safety Net Assistance.
All he's saying is, if you're gonna create this baby or babies, then rather than be taken to court for child support, it'd instead be mandatory by law for an unemployed man with newborn babies/toddlers to take part in government-supervised work activities, hence his trade school perspective.
Basically forcing you to work.
To put it simply, from his perspective, as a man, if you wanna have babies, then you're gonna be mandated to get your ass a job and/or go back to school, no more sitting on your ass at free will getting numerous women pregnant while the mothers and their children's well-being are compromised, financially speaking.

Young ladies haven't been popping out babies early like that for awhile (all races). You still got some teen pregnancies but NOTHING like I remember as a little kid.
Women now are going to college and delaying starting families. Black women are lapping Black men at educational attainment and we see the same thing with other races except maybe Asians.
The out-of-wedlock thing is mostly grown azz people that already have jobs but just decide to not marry. Look no further than all these entertainers and athletes (Reek, Nick Cannon, Ant Edwards) popping out babies.
People want offspring but not marriage. Why? Because folks don't want to compromise on anything. They want dessert with no calories.

His idea sounds good, and ONLY works off the premise that said father is committed to raising this child with or without a court order....or that these parents are on good terms.
That idea is ripe for exploiting, especially in Atlanta.. Contract marriages that give you access to zero-interest home loans all cause you chose to bring a child into the world while having little to no means to provide for it.
Mikes biggest fault, is that he's willing (too willing at times) to engage in discourse with people he doesn't agree with/politics don't align with....when viewed through the wrong lens, it can appear he's on the same side as these folks. He does understand that you need to have some sort of open line of communication with whomever is in office otherwise you're not being represented in any capacity.....but sitting up here with RFK is just cringeworthy.
