When I saw the trailer, I knew it was going to be some bullshyt.
No way they allow a serious show about Black economics on their platform.
They would, and it's easy to see how it could be done. Netflix is about streaming numbers, not agenda. They've expanded heavily into more diverse content specifically to bring in more subscribers.
I can imagine a black economics show working, but it would have to be entertaining as well as insightful. Some VICE type shyt. Imagine a show featuring multiple rich black celebrities, detailing how they're buying land in their communities and the drama (and antics) that come with it. Chappelle in Cincinnati, Chris Rock in NY, Marshawn Lynch in Oakland, Nas in Queens, Killer Mike in ATL, etc. Add in some black women too and you'd have a collection of compelling characters, some of whom already have popular content on Netflix (Chappelle, Chris Rock, Nas).
It would have to be entertaining and celebrity driven, but is completely do-able.
