You took that fukk nikka to church breh

Wow

You calling a racist white man term because I said equip our children with skills while pursuing a dream? To pursue engineering, electrician, doctor, dentist. Learn auto mechanics or something to earn income. He was not speaking to middle class families on that episode. The reality is there’s no loan or many scholarships to fund some lofty dreams. You will need to earn the income to fund it and having a skill does that.

Are you foolish enough to think the parents weren’t there and left their kids to just be spoke to by a rapper?

This is the hilarious part and makes me side eye a lot of these cats so called black experience…… Parents had to sign off on the kid being in the segment, so their ideologies may align with Mike’s…. They always forget that Hollywood and entertainment is a game of smoke and mirrors at the end of the day

I’ll say it like this why you let your kids be in lala. Land. There’s parents putting their kids in things now. so, let’s use this kids as an example.

Start while he’s 8 and at 18 he damn neared mastered the skill to earn a good living while pursuing his dream. Or, he may pivot to something. The sky’s limitless for him and his pursuits.

You feed him you can be anything without equipping him and now he wondering what he can do to earn income.

That’s the problem the onus isn’t on him to think rationally but the parents to put him in position now. The world is competitive and we )speaking generally) haven’t been playing the game right. They should be starting no to put them in position to learn skills. My parents were poor to low middle class. I’m now upper middle class and I push my to exceed that but they need tools to earn that’s what the meat of that was. Are you foolish enough to think the parents weren’t there and left their kids to just be spoke to by a rapper?

You guys are failing in it shows in your thought pattern.

My thought pattern in Linear...Yours on the other hand is circular and rife with assumptions. Not only that you talk too fukking much. Parents position their children by taking note of their interests, guiding and cultivating. Your kid likes design. You take them around buildings. You buy them books on architecture. You show them bridges around the world. They have a proclivity for math and science...Coupled with his/her love for art...You steer them towards STEM. This isn't fukking brain surgery. It takes 3-4 years to become an HVAC technician, plumber and electrician. If the kid flames out, or his interests start to wain as he nears the end of his secondary education he has enough time to maneuver and change position. Until then let the kid dream.

"Are you foolish enough to think parents weren't there and left their kids to just spoke to by a rapper?"

bruh :dead:

But on the real, I get what Mike trying to say, but he went about it in his whole ass type of way of thinking. When I was a youngin, I wanted to be a rapper and a scientist. In school, endless teachers preached about going out there and being anything you want to be. Instead of helping folks realize that the game is rigged and your chances of success are far and slim, unless you have luck, a ruthless grind, or be prepared to lose family and friends on the road to the dreams.

Hell, one of my biggest goals was to be in the IT industry, but God kept nudging me that it's not going to be what it seems. As you all can see, the shyt is on a downward spiral and to this very day, the industry short-changed folks or in some cases look over certain folks of color :mjpls:

Mike should have worded it beyond it being a RTJ bar. Break it down by being like "aye thats good, but you're going to have to start small and work your way up"

You are not going to be a president, but you could be an amazing senator that will make the change.

You will not be in office, but you are going to change the setting of a city as a mayor.

Just be real, but not too real. Give the kids some sort of hope in the process of being real about the situation :dead:

BREH IM DYING!!!

Man's basically gave a "fukk them kids" speech without trying :dead:

"I wanna be a president when I grow up"

Mike: "have you considered maybe....a power washer :jbhmm: "

"You can start earning money right now as an electrician!!" - killer Mike

Then in the next scene:

"You see the problem with the school system is that it teaches kids to be workers"

The fact that I came at you respectfully and this was your retort shows what type of feminine nikka you are. The kid in that video is in 2nd grade and you're already heaping a lifetimes full of responsibility on him. He doesn't need to make an income. He doesn't provide or support himself in any way form or fashion. He's a damn kid, and yes he has the luxury of dreaming because...Guess what? He's a Kid. He doesn't have to think rationally. Who gives a fukk about what your dentist wanted..Your anecdotal nonsense means ABSOLUTELY nothing...Do you actually know what it takes to become a dentist? The countless science and math courses you need to take? One doesn't just up and decide to be a Dentist, or a Doctor. It's something they've always had an interest in, and understand what it takes to become one. Those are foundations of a Dream...Interest, understanding and sacrifice. But goofy nikkas like you always chomp at the bit to tell a black child to be ANYTHING but what they want to be.

The Irony of your name being Vino...cheap, flavorless, void of body and depth. Sit your two buck chuck ass down somewhere.
When a dude whose name is “fukkthemkids” is out here defending a kid’s ability to dream about the future you would think people would consider the situation is really fukked up.

:hubie:

You might as well call him Dream Killer Mike after that shyt. Pure smart/dumb nikka shyt where you can’t see the forest for the trees.

So because he named the show “trigger warning” he can act irresponsibly and I’m not suppose to react?

What kind of gaslighting logic is that? fukk that fat fukk.
I really do hate saying shyt like this, but too many of us are so fukking dumb. It’s like it’s impossible for us to comprehend messages; especially messages of value. How do y’all ever expect anything to change for us when we can’t understand simple messages?

I wish I was exaggerating too but that was legit how it went down. All within the first 5-10 minutes of that episode.

Show kicks off with a quote from Booker t Washington

Killer Mike tells the kids about being an electrician and to be practical.

Killer Mike criticizes the black school principal for pushing kids to be just workers (she didn't by the way).

He's too up his own ass to even see the hypocrisy.

If a second grader told me they wanted to be POTUS I would let them know that the best path to get there would be to get straight A's, go to an ivy school and perhaps get a law degree from an ivy League school as well and to be active in the community.

Killer Mike basically called that shyt a hoop dream lol
