nikka is to over emotional, you can hear that shyt in his voice. He the type of nikka whose homies won’t check him on something because they know he will bytch and cry about it like a hoe.

I feel it just depends on the child and the kid.

THAT BEING SAID, Envy is a corporate dikk suck and will do anything for a dollar (even lie about being black) so you already know he send his kid to private school cuz that what he thinks rich nikkas and white people do.

It’s a double edge sword.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable sending my child to a lily White private school that has no representation of him or his people.

At the same time.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable sending my son to an underfunded public school that has overpopulated classes and underpaid teachers.

We have to find a medium in our community.

The thing is envy is rich even if his kids went to public schools they would not be black ones.

Soft nikkas got to both public and private school
Thug nikkas go to both public and private school
This is some to-may-toe, to-mah-to Blacker than thou type shyt
We're speaking on academic and faculty quality.

Mid level suppliers go to private school, corner workers go to public school, btw.
I've seen this work in reverse as well.
Public school breh gets life upgrade or puts suburban cousin on, cousin serves cacs and builds new clientele base in less dangerous area.
When we work together...

Envy is a bougie conservative culture vulture. He has expressed more than a few ways how he feels about the people that surround him in the urban marketplace. He's here to tap into money and extract it out. He's not your nikka
A throwback to a bygone era...even looks like a "paper bag tester".

What Envy and Killer Mike is talking about comes from your PARENTS and family unit.

What Envy is bragging about in terms of owning businesses, learning how etc --- comes from the parent instilling that in their child. A child seeing their parent involved in running or investing in a business or real estate is usually the key.

If your public school is underfunded -- work together as parents -- and invest in your child's school if you have any extra funds. Buy supplies, computers, books - help the teachers! Fight the school system for more funding. Stop giving up -- and letting Black schools close.

They both have valid points. I can appreciate Mike looking at the bigger picture that is the overall system. However, Envy makes a valid point in that the average working class or poor Black parent doesn't have the means to affect change on the level that Mike fantasizes about.

How so? Some simple things to do...
  • Choosing to keep your child in a majority Black school
  • Critiquing school curriculum
  • Making sure their Black children are being taught and know about Black History -- and learn about them year round.
  • Volunteering time
  • Working with other parents to make sure children have school supplies, books, etc.
  • Working with programs to get technology updates/donations
  • Fighting the district to make sure your school is getting the same funding as others.
