I don't know, I think he seemed pretty content. He was in no urgency to get back outside and be with that woman who he clearly disliked. The only thing outside he cared for was his son. Would he snitch on everybody just for that?

I think more than anything he just wanted to get away from everything Barksdale and everything related to the business. Do his time quietly then when he gets out leave Baltimore altogether and start over again someplace new. Snitching would just make that more complicated and get him more involved with the Barksdale organisation than he wanted to be
