Honestly I wish it could be different. But sometimes people do things that it's just in the best interest you keep away. It's unfortunate that a child can suffer in that situation but I feel that's better than the latter. Which is my daughter possibly seeing/experiencing a toxic situation. From my history with my ex I don't trust her with my best interest or the people she surrounds herself with.
