Actually I don't think that's the case. If anything she gave him the money (Kanye's) to buy it for her just like she let Skete ride around in one of her cars (again, Kanye's). Skete thinks he's being a player and running game when she is using him to maintain visibility so she can try and attract someone bigger and better than Skete. This is one of the reasons why she chose him. Partially because most sane dudes with options wouldn't be caught dead with her, seeing her as used goods, that is, Kanye's used goods, so she's very used goods. And partially because her family is insane. Anyone trying to be part of that is either foolish, clout-chasing, or worse, down bad (like CalmYe).
tl;dr, she's trying to get someone better by using Skete. All that requires a back up plan though in case Kanye loses interest, leading us to.....
