People kill me that they complain about the price then talk about getting that Vita add on... Someone link me to the remote play video. Microsoft doesn't allow cross platform because pc games are waaaay too easy to exploit. The free to play games are gonna be kinda big. Xbox missed the boat on that one.

The problem with remote play, is not the price, having PS4 games/graphics on the go is cool especially because the vit has real buttons, but the real problem is you need to be on local wifi to use it.

Who the hell is going to pay an extra couple hundred $$ so that you can play in your same house on a smaller screen?

As it is now, it is wasted, but if they made it so you can play anywhere then I wouldnt buy it tho once I gt my PS4. I really only play small quick games if im out, but I really dont play anything tho, but if this was out like 4 years ago I would have bought both at launch, and I could see it being a big selling point, but it only works Like 100 feet from the PS4, so its really only good to play while taking a shyt.

Im no going to knock a feature, but why the hell would you buy the PS4 over the xbox because of the price, and then turn around and buy a vita for this limited feature?

Like let my turn on my PS4 and then walk into the next room to play on a tiny screen, when I have a 42' tv in my room with surround sound

Maybe mid console life they will improve it so you can use it on the ride to Vegas.

EDIT: just thought of a use, if you have kids or a young sibling then you can let them play without having to go your your room, or mess with things.

Yeah I see that happen with a few friends, and me myself I haven tplayed a kinect game in like 2 months, but I think their main problem last time around was that it was either/or and never and it was either stand up and play a kinect game or sit down and use a controller. With the new xbox it seems like it will be apart of the xbox experience, so it will only collect dust if you dont dust it. but we really have to use it to see how good they combine the two, but what I am really looking forward to is the kinect glasses(project Fortaleza) that popped up when MS plans leaked like a year ago. I think they will be doing some cool stuff with it, and another reason that the kinect was bundled with the xbox, so that you will only have to but the glasses.

I've seen these. The slides are actually from 2010/2011, but just got leaked last year. It's obvious from reading all of the slides that leaked, that Microsoft is using the Xbox1 to the compete with Apple & Google as much they are with Sony. I don't even think they are focused or care about gaming. Gaming is just the platform they need Hardware-wise to compete with Apple & Google for the battle of the living room. This is why Apple is finally gonna have a standard controller support for iOS/Mac OS X and is expected for the next AppleTV Device to support iOS games & Apple's "Game Center". This is why Google is launching their own Android-based Media STB/Game Console & also launching Google Game Play Services. This is also why I suspect Apple is trying to buy the Israeli company that licensed MS the Tech for the Kinect.

If Apple & Google tries this, I guarantee you Samsung wants a piece of the pie. Look all the shyt, Samsung's new Smart TV's are doing.

That's the real battle to watch for next gen, not Sony vs. Microsoft. It's Sony & Microsoft trying to hold off Apple, Google, & maybe even Samsung.

This just another troll post. You didn't even answer my question of how much a PS4 should cost, you just talked around it

Here list of reason I wrote in another thread why folks would buy a PS4:

1. Current Gen hardware is outdated as fukk compared to PC. Hell, smartphones & tablets are almost caught up to current-gen systems. Folks are ready to move on to the next-gen, especially with the current gen being the longest ever.

2. PS4 versions of cross-gen games superior to PS3 versions & are more future-proof.

3. The $399 price is very attractive & enticing compared to the price of the Xbox1 ($500), the very inferior Wii U ($350), & outdated current gen systems ($300). If the PS4 was $500 like the Xbox1, I would hold off buying it for at least 1.5-2 years, like i've done with every other system. That $399 price is so enticing that I'll probably buy it during the "Launch window-early 2014" period.

4. PS fans finally wanna experience some these new social/OS features that weren't on the PS3 because of limited system RAM, that that Xbox 360 owners have been gloating about for years.

5. It's universally agreed that Sony EASILY has the best group of established 1st party studios. So despite the fact that is seems that the Xbox1 currently has the best group of exclusive games announced right now (most of them are 3rd & 2nd party games that Microsoft moneyhatted.), folks are betting heavy on "Naughty Dog", "SCE Santa Monica Studio", "Sucker Punch Productions", "Guerrilla Games", "SCE Japan", "Polyphony Digital", "Media Molecule" & the rest of the Sony's 1st & 2nd studios to bring the heat to the PS4 like they did this gen & to take it to another level.

6. Remote play with PS Vita.

7. Folks & media expect PS4 to have the best versions of multi-platform games on consoles.

8. There is no technical hardware reason that the PS4 can't match the entertainment & social features that Microsoft is promoting with the Xbox1. (Except as a cable-box pass-through via HDMI-in. But even that is a redundant/irrelevant feature if the PS4 has live-TV cable-provider apps).

9. Despite Sony putting online-multiplayer behind the PS+ paywall, Sony made it easier to swallow by not putting Apps, social features, Free-2-Play games, & subscription-based MMOs behind the Paywall. So Sony's paywall policies are still better than Microsoft's.

10. Sony allows cross-platform play via online-multiplayer on PSN with other platforms on the PS4 ( & even on the PS3) if a developer wants to do that with their game (i.e. "Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn", "Warframe", Valve's games, & etc.). Microsoft doesn't allow cross-platform play with other platforms on Xbox Live.

11. The Kinect 2 bundled with every Xbox1 advantage argument is a moot point, if it's still $40 cheaper to buy a PS4 & the PS4 Eye Camera.


Okay that's 11 reasons folks would buy a PS4. I'm sure there's more.

Not buying the idea that the kinect is gonna attract casual gamers. They might not be checking the latest updates or know every difference between the consoles but the majority of them will know that the PS4 has better graphics and when you add on the cheaper price tag that should be the deal breaker. I doubt they'll have any use for a gimmick camera. They just want to game with their friends on the best shyt out at an affordable price which the good folks at Sony provides.

I have not parroted anything. Whether you like the features or not Microsoft has given working demonstrations of all of the reasons they think you should buy an Xbox one. Sony has basically given you good PR and promises. They billed the ps4 as "the most powerful gaming machine ever" but they have not shown off one game to prove this. In fact, the games on Xbox one look/perform better.

I fell for the Kinect hype which is why I bought a 360 to begin with. There are certain things that seem good about this new one that certain people will enjoy, but overall it feels gimmicky to me.​
