I like them all in their own way, I'd give the 80's era the slight edge just based on all the subtleties in the music.

Two Hands and Requiem pale in comparison to the Discipline tracks imo
I remember spending all my hard earned cash on the Great Deceiver box set back when I was in college and broke, I remember being pissed. Kept the book with all the pictures and sold it. Only appreciated the complete version of "Providence" that appeared on the "Red" album.
It's been rereleased in 2 parts and somehow still cheaper combined than when I first bought it.

This version of Discipline has the restrained version of Matte Kudasai and not the original (featuring the theme to Peace from "Poseidon" in the intro) which was later re-released as the "alternative" version.

i have in the court of the crimson king on vinyl 
its a good album. i want more of them i heard a bunch of thier early albums. but i liked their later songs i heard too like 'three of a perfect pair' and 'elephant talk' and others.
