that's how you get awarded, it'a always been based on shipped not sold. i think it's Soundscan that counts what is sold and some billboard which counts what's actually sold. it could be the other way around i always get it mixed up.

yup Taylor Swift went plat in her first week congrats to Kendrick though that was a very solid album (not as good as Section .80 imo) plus you can tell he made the album he wanted to make..only track I aint feeling is the Drake collab

plus the #s are always just a tad higher. Sales from mom/pops are almost never counted (correct me if I am wrong)
