Typical industry bullshyt, nikka gets shytted on for making music and getting paid the way he wants and not some industry puppet raping about the same cars clothes and hoes.

Decided he doesn't need money from Lucy :yeshrug: Let's bash artists for having artistic integrity brehs.

Forbes decision to referee hip hop's power structure from the sidelines is certainly an odd recent development.

Did I misread or isn't the article saying he staying true to himself and speaking on social issues unlike others? They even mentioned how his shoes touched on social stuff. I take the title as click bait. If the title was "Although Kendrick isn't on top of the cash charts, He has something better" or something like that, it wouldnt get any clicks. But if it seems like it is shytting on him. Then it gets clicks.

Surprised he is getting props for this considering in America we only seem to respect those who make the most money....

coulda got to the point without another recounting of others' pockets

I got the point from the headline and first couple sentences. This is a Kendrick slurp piece: "Kendrick is a real artist, don't you see? He doesn't endorse products and he's humble. What a good guy"

fukk outta here. That's his image, as continuously marketed by Interscope.

The hypocrisy is major too. In the sense that you have a writer who is clearly counting other nikkas pockets talk about how it's great that Kendrick aint your typical rapper while counting Kendrick's pockets. It's like the Duckworth stans that ramble all day about how Drake is commercial, materialistic and killing hip hop, yet are up to date with how much Kendrick grosses on tour, how much his albums sell and what position he is on Billboard.

Fake ass nikkas :scust:

It's sad, but nowadays even the most tame articles have polarizing headlines, just to make sure to attract as many views as possible.
Unfortunate how journalism has been compromised in the internet era.
The ppl are partially to blame as well.
Article title
"King Kendrick? Not when it comes to cash" - Draws in the Kendrick fans to possibly defend him. Draws in the haters so they can have more ammo in online fights. Draws in the neutral ppl who are curious.
"Kendrick Keeps his Integrity" "King Kendrick only Mainstream Rapper speaking on Social issues" - MIGHT bring in his fans.
