You don't know shyt about hip hop and don't even post about music get off my dikk

If it's a terrible thread why you come in here and post, you can't even add to the convo

All my points was valid and I posted tracks to back it up, you can't offer anything to the thread because you don't know shyt about rap

I'm keeping track of all you culture vultures, cleaning this form up, tired of all these flabby ass nikkaz in here and ain't even apart of hip hop

If King Von was this rap legend his name could stand on its own. It clearly doesn't.

Big L rapped with and was respected by the greats of his era and arguably the best era of Hip Hop.

You're older, you should know better

lmao, His name does stand on it's own, the fact you don't know shows you have no idea whats going in the hip hop culture

I posted tracks where he uses some flow patterns Big L used, he was clearly a student of hip hop that's why his music is good

It's a new era, why would King Von be rapping with anybody Big L came up rapping with, it's new era, once again you flabby and sick you don't know shyt about this culture you don't live, I'm hip hop everyday till I die

once again, I never compared them

Look at this jew cac trying to tell me I should know better about my own culture lmao

For one i never compared Big L and King Von as EMCEE, I compared their careers as artist and similarities they had in that required, I didn't say they were the exact same type of rapper

Only thing Big L did better than King Von is punch line rap, which does zero in the realm of art when it concerns music

As Artist King Von has already surpassed Big L, and I proved it with the tracks I posted, he has more storystelling tracks than Big L has COMPLETE SONGS, there's no comparison who is the better artist.

That's not what the thread was about, the thread was about their deaths before the mainstream, you know, culture vultures like you could really understand who they were

But you don't know shyt about rap, you came here to hop on dikk, because I'm god, on que with the lame jordan similie, which the first when somebody on here doesn't know what their talking about and trying act like their to good for the conversation

you all the same mental fragile, still thinking about every word from post years ago because I crushed your spirit

What titans was Von rapping with when he was alive?

Drill is repetitive and boring

You're not even saying anything meaningful

Just say you were impressed by Von's flashy videos, better production, and nice chains.

He has more storytelling tracks than Big L has complete songs? You're a straight up liar.

I grew up listing to Big L and the greats in real time on the radio. Von and these Chicago rappers don't hold a candle to that level of artistry even with all the access to money and "better" production. It is what it is.

I'm not a cac or jew either you seem like an angry retard who is trying to deflect from your shytty argument

Big L and King Von don't belong in the same paragraph let alone the same sentence.

This the last time I'm responding to you, because you didn't even read my post in the OP, and making arguments that I don't make sense

I never compared them skill wise, I compared them at the brink of becoming mainstream stars, and gettting killed right before that, that's why King Von is the big L of this era, all the other rappers who died were already mainstream when they died like Pop Smoke was nominated for grammy, XXX and Juiceworld were mainstream already, Von hadn't fully arrived yet he was bubbling like how juicy was before he did the song with Boyz in the Hood, he was on his way to being a house hold name

Once again, listen to the tracks I posted, this exactly I made this thread, because King Von is opposite of drill music, he's a traditional rapper, he has drill songs but that's not how his main work sounds, which is why I posted the tracks, you don't listen to them because you don't listen to rap music you just talk about it

When Big L rapped with all those "greats' they weren't greats, only rapper on his level he rapped with his Jay-Z and that wasn't an official song they was freestyling,. you obviously don't know anything big L's career, Fat Joe isn't a great rapper, he actually kinda sucks especially back then, DITC aren't a greats lmao

Lord Fineese and all them are legends, but not the on the same level as the great rappers in hip hop lmao

2pac is great, Big L don't even fall into that category even though he is legend

This an entirely different era, King Von was going to be that artist for this era who could have a chance to be great

and I should that with tracks I posted because those latest tracks are far superior than his first tracks, he only been rapping for 3 years, some of them drill sounds was he literally just started rapping lmao, that's I made this thread because haven't listened to his music, and have the wrong idea about him

Is it me or did Big L have a wider range of subjects to speak on and he was more different from the average popular rapper in his era vs King Von. Now admittedly, I've never listened to a single King Von song. Of course may he RIP, we don't want to see any brother die. But the snippets I heard, he was in the upper echelon of rappers who rap about: money, guns, dope, hoez etc. Correct me if I'm wrong. Sure Big L rapped about those things too BUT his style stood out among his peers.

RIP to both!
Your post reminds me of @Youngdev

Bu bu but it was different back then!

Von basically sounded like No Auto Durk and was an amateur cat in the hat, chronological storytelling rapper. His “authenticity” and voice was his draw and that Durk co-sign helped. He’s known as a real killer and the stories he told are believed to be true. That’s the draw along with the production and image for him.

He wasn’t no star just had some big drill songs. LeVon James sold 15,000 stop it. Eventually he could have been a mid tier street rapper. Quando Rondo is a much more talented artist.

In the history of hip-hop he’s up there with like Tay-K and shyt.

Big L was a savant rapper and no Von was not more versatile. Von was a one trick pony. Big L was a god of flow, punchlines, and multis, and had storytelling songs. He had songs for women, cautionary/conscious songs, fly shyt, gangsta shyt, etc.

In short you bugging.

Yo if its a Von thread you gonna let us know that quando was better huh :pachaha:

Von was already a bigger star than Quando, better depends on what you prefer melody or straight bars

Von had already passed someone like tay-k Von was gonna crack 40k 50k first week if he stayed alive, he did 26k with welcome to O- Block. He was only going up.

Now would he have passed durk, probably not but its possible, would he have been a super star probably not. You never know though, whoever thought Durk would pass keef

Von was getting better daily tho.

:hubie:

Anyway dude had no shot of passing Durk shyt is disrespectful to Durk imo and that nikka wasn’t going to be out here long with all the shyt he allegedly did

Should have started rapping sooner :francis:

I don’t remember L having this broad diverse subject matter. He rapped about the same shyt the other dudes in his era rapped about. But to be fair I haven’t really listened to Big L since I was a teen, so I could be misremembering, even though he was one of my favorite rappers back then.
