And the TRULY fukked up thing is that the academy didn’t start giving out Best Rap Album until the year AFTER Illmatic. Also Stillmatic and Gods Son weren’t even fukking NOMINATED the year’s they were eligible.




But Nas stayed the course and did it HIS way.


The man won a Grammy with a lead single talking about the beauty of blackness Not how many hoes he fukked, not how much lean he can sip, not how expensive his designer clothes are, but staying true to who HE was as an artist.
