They just did that cause the CBA expires in 2021, he wants to double dip when the new CBA is in effect

Its bigger than that. He will sign a short deal, which gives him another change to be a Free Agent at 32 and takes away team control of year 4 and 5 of these deals with no real money attached to them, but the player with lack of control.....it also will be 100% guaranteed money, not a dollar of fake money in it. He will be able to have basically a NBA/MLB contract, a 3 year deal for $80 milly or so. That's a huge win for NFL players and their union.

Rookie deals aren't free agent deals breh. His second deal, the $100 Million dollar one....only had $31 guaranteed breh.
