But Carson had a good career as a starter before he became a backup. I dont remember the details exactly, but wasn't he backung up Matt Flynn in Oakland? If so, there's so many reasons to demand a trade. And he knows his trade value was still intact. Cousins was making Johnny Football look like Johnny Unitas lol.

I think Cousins made the right move here. Ask for a trade and get traded or released. Cousins can compete in St. Louis, Cleveland, New York and Tennessee for a starter position. Why stay in Washington, whose coaching staff is thethered and blind to a underperforming RG3?

And he got his job taken by Colt McCoy. He's trash. More cerebral? He threw more INTs than anyone else on the team. Especially in the 2nd half. He's not starting material and has ONE win as a starter. ONE!

Based on what? He can't win and he's turnover prone. And he was given many games this year to prove himself and failed miserably.

I bet if you ask him Tim Tebow knows he can play in the league too. Cousins was the starting QB. RGIII was hurt and had Cousins preformed he would have been the permanent starting QB. Yet somehow McCoy ends up with the job and gets hurt and its back to RGIII. When Drew Bledsoe went down Tom Brady took that job. That's all I'm saying. When Alex Smith went down Colin Kaepernick took his job.

This isn't a loyal league. RGIII was on the bubble Cousins should have took that job but he couldn't because he doesn't have what it takes to be a starting QB in this league. Cousins is in the same boat as fellow ex-Spartans Brian Hoyer and Drew Stanton he's a stopgap QB. What difference does it make if he's a backup in Washington or somewhere else? A backup is a backup.

RG3 is the best QB in D.C but Cousins isn't terrible.. He's certainly better than Mccoy.
