Her natural inclination is to feel that pull towards a more mixed existence rather than claiming to be black or white. She knows damn well her and her
man are super light and the practical result of what a baby would look like coming from them.

Oh yea that's the direct results of "White Supremacy"....Even amongst the "mixed" breeds. I mean thats why the responses were as they were. She's pulling towards that "mixed" existence, because she is confused. That's what it does. If you're black, it steers you towards trying to get more light and if you're "mixed", it makes you stay on the fence in your mind on almost all aspects regarding race,complexion or whatever else tied into it.
