Morey lov4s this kid and h3s going to vet anogher contract by morey probably. Mchale and the staff love him in practice.

Him, brewer, beverley, and smith all have expiring contracts as does terry. We wont be able to retain all that. They want smith and brewer back but also to take care of jones and dmo next year, so theres a good chance McDaniels get a nice team friendly contract offer this offseason from morey thats nonguaranteed.

I definitely think he gets a decent contract offer. Houston is definitely looking at it as having a nice asset and backup plan to keep on the cheap. Other teams ain't going to quickly forget the potential he was showing earlier in the season though when he was getting clock.

He wouldn't even be making a million next year had he done a longer deal with Philly

He will make more than that, probably a lot more regardless

Another thread where idiots get exposed

seriously why the fukk are people acting like he made a mistake?

he proved during his philly run that he is a valuable commodity that is worth more than what he woulda made if he signed the traditional deal

yall are acting like nba execs have just forgotten about him bc he is on the bench and someone destroyed all the philly tape

He would have been in a shytty philly tanking team where they would have 2 or 3 more team options at less than a million

Instead he's going to free agency, gets to choose his team, and will make more than all those options combined in one year

People are fukking stupid here sometimes

McHale doesn't like playing younger players which is why Canaan is gone and it took awhile for D-Mo and TJones to get significant minutes. KJ just gotta pay his dues and when he's called upon in real game situation he gotta take advantage of it like Capela did against Toronto.

He can't shoot the 3 yet, has Brewer & Ariza in front of him and keeping him on the bench is slick way to deflate his value, he's a FA this summer.

I think yall are overlooking this strategy. It makes sense, let him develop the corner 3, get him on an affordable deal and you can sell high on Brewer and Ariza.

And I can tell some of you nikkas dont watch the NBA and havent seen him play. He won't be in the D-League or out the NBA next year

:dwillhuh:

Exactly what incentive does he have to accept a non-guaranteed deal on a team that won't give him minutes (thereby further decreasing his value and putting him in the same position next summer) when he is extremely likely to field better offers across the league?

Also, I'm not 100% but I believe non-guaranteed deals don't even exist in the NBA except in the most extreme of circumstances.

i cant see a 6'6 SG not getting a contract.. league is depleted of those... (they all 6'2 to 6"5)

what i think is happening is that he was a guarantee from the get go..not enough experience to put in late season but if another 2 player goes down.. he will get his shine.
