First of all Harvard doesn’t even have an LGBTQ major so I have to assume she’s talking about the liberal arts in general. I don’t know how many of you have taken Liberal Arts as a College Major but as a person who majored in Africana Studies and Psychology in undergrad there are terrible misconceptions.Whether it’s Africana Studies, Women Studies, Asian Studies, etc all you are taught is to apply your scholarship in the field to other fields to help society overall.

For example if you have taken Africana Studies most of your professors want you to apply your gained knowledge in the fields of Political Sciences (M.P.A/M.P.P), Business (M.B.A), Law (J.D) or Academia (P.H.D) so you can see it from a Black lens. How many times have we seen marketing campaigns, inequalities in the law or Black women with medical care not include Black experiences or thought process? That’s the importance of Liberal arts or as that Bozo lady likes to say LGBTQ studies.

This trade school vs Higher education tactic by Trump is just based on historical class diversions that always rears its head when economic changes run amok.
