The biggest insult the Spurs received during their time was that they were boring. If your argument is that it's more disrespectful to be indifferent towards something, sure, but I ain't never heard/seen the level of criticism directed towards anyone on the Spurs that Steph and Dray have been the subject of over the last decade.
You even have Pop acknowledged by many as the greatest coach in NBA history, whereas you still have folks saying Kerr ain't coaching shyt.
As important and great as Klay's performance was in that game, Steph's was just as integral. That's what gets lost whenever that game is brought up, it's that Steph had just as good of a game. Steph did the heavy lifting in the 3rd (14 points), allowing GS to keep the game close, and Klay came through in the 4th.
The game would've been over if Steph didn't go off in the 3rd, and it wouldn't have mattered what Klay would have done in the 4th.
