Because none with common sense has a problem with a man trying to make more money.

END OF STORY

I said if you were the knicks you would have a problem. He wanted to be in NYC and his agent got him sent to Houston for 5 mil more. Money he couldve got back in endorsements easy

NY vs TX and FL

NY - High ass taxes and less money
TX - No state taxes
FL - No state taxes

I don't know about you but thats an easy decision for me

Get your money while you can young man. Dude went from fighting for a spot in the NBA to a $25 million dollar deal. Don't see how you can be mad at that. If the Knicks can't pay that then somethings wrong. Then you got a dude who makes damn near 20 million a year who pretty much said that thats a ridiculous contract. And then the Knicks signed not one but 2 3 point guards it really doesnt drive home the point that he's wanted in NY. Smart choice for Lin...Away with Linsanity. Now Houston has Jeremy Lincredible.

Melo said cap hit on the structured contract was ridiculous. Melo making 20 mil cause he earned it the guy puts up hof numbers .of course the Knicks can afford it they didn't want to pay it. He was going to get 21.8 mil dollars originally the Knicks said they'll match any deal and his new agent convinced him to get more since the Knicks would match anyway . He Hired a new agent that would help him market his brand In NYC instead he gets him sent to Houston and loses out on some marketing dollars for a cash grab . How is that a boss move ? He gained a few mil to lose a few mil he would've got in marketing .

Ok your missing out on the point that he would've made back up past 21.8 to the 25 he's getting with marketing . Why put florida in there ? :wtf: the Knicks could've matched anyway they just didn't like the way he tried to take advantage of them since they said they'd match anything . He hired this new agent specifically to help him market himself in new York and instead he pissed off the Knicks enough to let him Walk

:smh: @ knick fans and their sense of entitlement.

Ill ignore that your the fan base who's mad Dwight doesnt want to go there. But those aren't Knicks fans those the same bandwagon fans who suddenly show up every time a event happens ( the " jet " supporters who now like the giants )
Real knick fans were conflicted since weve seen so many sophomore slumps and didn't know what Lin would do . We now looking for sgs. The fans are barely even calling the radio station to bring this up

Yup

2010 - How dare Lebron James not wanna play for us? He's a chicken. Thats why.

2012 - How dare Jeremy Lin want more money than we can afford. fukkin' "chink"

Seriously I have mad family in NY and i love them but typical New Yorkers "me 1st, me 2nd, me 3rd, me nth" mindset is just beyond anything acceptable to a normal human being sometimes

You really think those people are real Knicks fans ? That's the bandwagon people same with all the people wearing heat gear after the championship . None of us in the Knicks thread are saying that , most people on ny radio talking baseball as usual in the summer. Every fan base does this ( people wanting to trade wade , bosh etc )
