Does Porzingis make the all-star team this year? If so, what numbers does he need to post in order to make it? Right now he's averaging 21.0 pts, 7.3 rebs , 1.1 blks. Is that good enough to get in at forward over Melo, Love, James, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo?
I personally think he should be rebounding more. At LEAST 10 per game.
Like others have said, consistency is the key with this guy. He had 35 points vs Detroit, then laid a dud next game vs. Washington. When Carmelo Anthony got two quick technicals against the Boston Celtics and was ejected...I was waiting for Porzingis to step up and show something. But he fell flat and the Knicks were blown out as a result. Those two games are evidence that he is not ready quite yet to lead a team. But he's clearly the most talented player on the team as far a versatility.
