For real yo. Even when he took Angelica from Rocket. Rocket was like :manny: got over it quick.

As soon as he said he was leaving the game I knew Lil Ze was going to be a problem he was like an anchor to Lil Ze.

I'm surprised he wasn't as bat shyt insane as Ze and they were best friends doing the murda game together for a long time.

True but i guess he did what he had to do in order to eat; than once he was good he fell back; Ze did those things to eat and cuz it was fun to him.

That rocket thing; i guess dude knew chick was out of his league and knew he couldnt do shyt to him so what could he do :to:

this movie stays having me :to: so i only watch it from time to time

my nikka benny :to:

is it wrong that I hated the fact a super goon like lil ze got his soul slid out by a bunch of lil knuckleheads :ld: ? I understand why they did it but still...

and although rocket took an L with Angelica, he still managed to live out a teenage dream (fukking a middle aged sophiscated bytch...add in with it being brazil and him being a dark nikka...he won doubly in that case)

and knockout ned was a perfect character imo...I never expected him to thug it out legendary because at the end of the day. He was a civilian that got pushed into that life. He wasn't really bout that life. Just like a nikka who kills for the first time and is like :manny: fukk it...i'm going to hell now anyway

Personally I'm glad Ze wasn't killed by Melonhead the cop. That's where I thought it was headed the first time I watched the movie.

When I saw the Runts doing their thing I was like :youngsabo:

ya'll gotta stop making my soul burn slow in this topic fame :sadbron:

i just wanted one of them nikkas to make it out....

and :pachaha: at this nikka Ze like "take the picture breh"

They made up for it though on the City Of Men TV show

On the series the character played by Phellipe Haagensen (Benny) actually makes it out of the life, and even though he is playing a different character I think it is still rewarding because his character is symbolic of Benny

in fact watching the TV show and the sequal movie brings alot of closure on some of the uneasy feelings left after the movie.

Yeah. I felt pretty good with how City Of Men ended.
Only thing is I wonder what happened to Tina, the gangsta broad that Larajinha dated for a bit in the series.

She was with the gang in taking back the Favela but it isn't implied if she escaped or got killed.

yeah City Of Men isn't as hard hitting and violent as City Of God, its more about the relationship between the two boys than about all the back and forward drama going on in the city.

Also, its not a direct sequal (its based on the TV show which is set in the present day but features alot of the same actors), but I still think its a great movie and shows that after everything that went down life still goes on.
