I applaud him for knowing his rights and being able to throw it in their faces but dude seems like he's just looking for the confrontation so he can brandish his knowledge of his rights.

I mean was there a purpose to him filming the back of the station ? Even if its personal but was there a purpose? I would have rather seen a breh who was in a real situation that he was filming and be was able to son them like this. Not on some "let me look up these rights and go taunt the cops with it". Had we have a trigger-happy pig out there shoot him he would have still known his rights and could have sued but still would have been shot. And over what? No they can't, liar. That's what the right to exercise your legal rights are for. There is no requirement to show id unless there is a crime in progress or a person is subject to arrest/being detained. Neither of those applied. That's the problem, too many people voluntarily give up their rights, empowering the cops beyond what is necessary - they know this and use it against us.

Being cooperative for what and for what cause??It's not any of their damn business to know about what he's doing while minding his own business. He wasn't doing anything but existing.. I know very well what I'm talking about - it's called having legal knowledge. A badge doesn't give them carte blanche to shyt because without that gun, they wouldn't be in any position to justify stopping him or reacting to people how they do. Constitutional rights exist for a reason, it's people like you that contribute to the problem by not standing up for those rights and not exercising the rights given to you when infringed on, a badge is not a pass to have authority over you without just cause. and you can go ahead with all that "carte blanche". Luck doesn't have shyt to do with it stupid. The fact is the cops backed off because they knew the consequences had they tried to pursue and they knew there was no justifiable cause for them to interrogate him. Also including the fact that he knew his rights and could back his claim. fukk luck - that's him being knowledgeable and standing his ground.

Not true at all. Failure to ID is a secondary crime. For instance, if you rob a bank and the cops catch you, then you must show ID. If you refuse, then that’s refusing to ID. But a cop just can’t come up to you and ask to see ID, like in the video. Well they can but you don’t have to provide it.

Even in stop and ID states, cops must have a reasonable articulate suspicion to stop you and ask for ID. The problem with stop and ID states is the cops can say you did some petty crime like loitering or violated some bs local ordinance like obstructing the sidewalk.

Pigs get over on black people because to be honest, most of us either don’t know our rights or/and just want to end police interaction ASAP. For example, say you get pulled over, only the driver is required to show ID. But the cops may ask for the passengers ID as well. The passenger refusing ID is 100% in the right, but now the cop will prolly give you a hard time and may try to search your car and other bs.

It's right in some state's constitutions. Read up first.
