the insecurity of Kobe stans has really revealed itself since Bron got that ring.
It's truly out of control now... Kinda pathetic.

How is Kobe the anti-hero when he has the #1 selling jersey in the world? :beli:

Jordan is the hero. He does no wrong.

Kobe dealt with public scorn all his career. Being too much like Jordan, being carried to a ring, breaking up the Lakers, the rape case, being Tiger Woods before Tiger Woods, being uncoachable, being a ball hog, quitting in Phoenix, not being a suitable leader, being mocked after Shaq won in 06, not being able to win without Shaq, winning only one MVP, still failing to match Jordan...........shyt goes on & on. The rest of the world may love him but, the American media been :deadhorse: for years. After he won again, they diverted all their efforts to Lebron.

I really shouldn't have had to answer that.

Derrick Rose of Chicago Bulls, Jeremy Lin of New York Knicks top NBA's jersey sales - ESPN

Move over, Kobe and LeBron: Only Derrick Rose could top Linsanity when it came to jersey sales over the past year.

The league's reigning MVP has the top-selling jersey at the NBA Store and nbastore.com since April 2011, the NBA says Thursday. Knicks guard Jeremy Lin was No. 2, despite his merchandise not even being available until his stunning breakthrough in February.

Bryant was third and James fourth, unusually low spots for two of the NBA's biggest superstars. Bryant had been No. 1 six times and James twice since 2001.

Jealousy. A lot of cats never got over Kobe sonning their favorite players on national television while they sat indian style sporting their wrinkled A.I./T-Mac/Vince/Pierce replica jerseys. When Lebron came into the league, they knew he had the best chance to usurp Kobe from his throne, and so they flocked to the "King" in droves.

When Diesel left, they said he'd never win another ring, and attempted to push Wade as the new premier SG. After the 2008 Game 6 debacle vs the Celtics, they said he was done. He followed it up by winning two more rings, a gold medal, and setting Vanessa loose(much to their enjoyment) only to have her come groveling back when she realized how fortunate she was and where exactly her bread was buttered.

Dude won't go away, and he manages to spin any and every fabricated "L" the denizens can think of into a "W", and they hate him for it. They're as much to credit to his success than anything, though. Without them fueling Kobe, he would have never became the paramount of greatness that he did. :jawalrus: Bean transcended every expectation that was bestowed upon him, and is just now showing signs of slowing down. Dude's a living legend, and he's close to hanging 'em up. Regardless of the hate he receives, America isn't ready for that day; they just don't know it yet.

:wow:

To be fair, Wade gets a shaft too. He has the same averages as Kobe with MORE efficiency and doesn't get the recognition Kobe gets, mostly because of Bryant's reputation.

That reputation has alot to do with Bryant's peak performance being way higher than Wade's.

Not at all actually.

Dwyane Wade's best season (08-09) is better than any season Kobe ever had, by nearly every statistical measure. So Wade's peak was better.
