What LeBron did with going to 8 consecutive finals is great but it’s not the most dominant stretch in NBA history. He went 3-5 in that stretch and thats not the most dominant in NBA history. You Bron stans like to go overboard with his accomplishments.8 consecutive finals, something no one had done since the Celtics. All as the #1 player. All while playing HIS offense. All while him putting up MVP caliber numbers every year. On two different teams, with 3 different head coaches and an insane amount of roster turnover. Yall can miss me with the "tHe EaST wAs WeAk!" or "bbUT HiS fINAls rEcord!" bullshyt, no player has been that much of a sure thing since Shaq /Robin Kobe Era Lakers or Jordan and the Bulls and even they played on the best team of the decade with the greatest coach of that era.
To pearl clutch because of his finals record or his "loaded roster" is pure reductionist bullshyt. Making it that many times as the clear focal point/best player, is an insane feat. For context, we have seen the loss of a 6th and 7th men tilt teams out of Finals contention (the Nuggets). Kevin Durant, who is a top 5 scorer in NBA history, had to literally go to the greatest regular season team EVER, defer to Curry and the system just to go to three and win two, before injuries and egos blew it all up.
Yall fakkits and your rings narratives distort the truth, which is that winning isnt easy and little things quickly become mountains that become insurmountible hurdles for even the best teams.
He created all those scenarios of instability with stacking 2 different super teams, getting coaches fired, getting players traded, signing 1+1 short term deals, being passive aggressive towards his teammates/organizations. He don’t get credit for that.
It’s hypocritical to say on one hand that it’s hard to win then trying to shade MJ/Kobe for 3peating and winning with dynasties. How great was Phil Jackson as a coach prior to MJ? MJ was always MJ.
LeBron had a great organization with the Heat. He had a great GM in Pat Riley and a great championship coach in Spoelstra but yet he still jump ship so that’s on him.
