do you know how many 6'8 240 dudes are not in the league? lmao you're a clown.

there is no one who has ever had the size, speed, and stength combo bron has along with his leaping ability. just stop it. he and shaq are like the two physical marvels in NBA history.

you could put anyone in shaq or bron's body and they'd be in the league.

There's dudes in this thread basically saying Lebron can't shoot or dribble i.e. that he isn't skilled. It's asinine.

well he was not a good shooter coming out but he did have great ballhandling ability. bron's weaknesses were his footwork, post-game, and jump shot coming out. everything else he had.

This is simply not true.

Jimmy Grahams 40 time is 4.53, and hes 6'7 260 and strong as fukk.

Why was he not a BEAST when he played at Miami?

Its because he didn't have the natural SKILL and feel for the game that LeBron has

And to say Shaq is unskilled :mjlol:

You dont know what the fukk your talking about.

Nope.

20/5/5 was out of the realm of possibility for a rookie Darius Miles, and every other HS to NBA pro. We don't even get College to NBA players doing that :russ:
WTF? LeBron averaged 40 fukkin minutes, 19 shots per game as a rookie and was given the keys to the kingdom, what other high schooler prior had that chance? shyt how many rookies in general get that chance?

Nobody else had the chance because they were -

A. Either physically not ready
B. Not skilled enough
C. Both A & B

i never said shaq or lebron were unskilled. i said they were moreso physical specimans. and i didn't say if you gave anybody shaq's body they'd be shaq. i only said they'd make the NBA. for goodness sakes, Jahidi White played in the league and he never was near Shaq in terms of physical gifts and/or skill.

something like 1 out of every 6 American males between 20-40 years old that are 7 feet tall make the NBA. http://www.forbes.com/sites/dandiam...-tall-the-fastest-way-to-get-rich-in-america/

don't get it twisted. making it in pro sports is largely a product of your god-given physical gifts and not really much of what you work for. if you had shaq body or bron's you woulda made in the NBA as well. now you wouldn't be as good as them if you didn't develop your skills. but in terms of pure physical gifts, those two with zero skill would be NBA players.

Kobe and KG coulda done it. only reason Bron got a chance is cause they were trailblazers.

Kobe averaged 19.9ppg in his 3rd year, his first year as a starter.

He wasn't going to put up 20/5/5 out of HS if he didn't even hit those numbers until his 4th season :camby: Kevin Garnett started 43 games his rookie year, he didn't put up those type of numbers, he was around 14/8 as a starter.

You can play the "if" game all you want, only one HS to NBA pro put up those numbers.

Kobe averaged 15.4ppg in 26.0 minutes as a 19 year old 2nd year pro. He was voted a starter in the all-star game and for most of that season he was considered the front-runner for sixth man of the year. Here he is lighting up Jordan and Pippen.

If you projected his numbers out per 36 minutes you get: 21.4ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.5 apg. And thats while playing with another ball dominant scorer in Shaq and 2 other wing all-stars (Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel). Compare that to 19 year old rookie LeBron's per 36 stats: 19.1 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.4 apg.

I agree we can play the "if" game all we want, but stop acting like the situations were in any way comprable. One guy went to a loaded championship contender that had arguably the second greatest player in the world while the other went to the worst team in the league. One guy started off on the bench behind two proven all-star wing players while the other was playing 40mpg as a rookie on a team going nowhere.

All I know is, when I see 96 Summer League Kobe or the 98 Kobe playing Jordan/Pippen, I see a guy whose pretty close to the guy we all saw average 35ppg and win scoring titles. And I don't doubt he coulda averaged 20ppg as a rookie if he played on a bad team and got all the shots.

Kobe was physically ready and was more skilled than Lebron. Del Harris was just a terrible coach and did not want to upset the veterans on the team.
