not saying kobe's been good this year but those numbers are deceptive cause most of the time Kobe's on the bench its backups vs. backups. and going into this season, most people thought the Lakers had a decent bench. so the fact the Lakers are performing well when Kobe's on the bench doesn't mean much cause the other teams starters are also out.

its when the other teams starters are in that we get slaughtered. cause the Lakers starting unit is pretty much a bench unit with Kobe.

This excuse is so weak. Lin and Swaggy are both shooting a much higher percentage than Kobe. But I'm not even complaining. Kobe is leading us to a top 5 pick. :jawalrus:

pretty much. I don't get this fake outrage with Kobe. this team was never going anywhere. I'd have a problem if Kobe was plying like this with the 2010 Lakers. but with this team. he's doing the franchise a favor long term shooting em outta games in the 4th. this team needs a top 5 pick alot more than it needs 5-10 more wins cause Kobe plays team ball.

I want to see these stats for the last ten years. Kobestans always talk about the eye test, but i've been watching Laker games for years and the lakers bench has always done just as well with or without him. According to what I've seen, even Prime Kobe was prone to shoot his team out of games as often as he shot them into games. Kobe's net impact as a "superstar" has only been pronounced in a few seasons.

The guy has always been overrated in terms of his clutch ability and his net impact. It's just more pronounced this season since he's lost his fukking mind.

My brother's keeper
All but 2 of those shots .. he got possession with at least 7 seconds. On one he had 4.8 seconds where he had a routine spot up shot. On the other he had about 5 seconds, still alot of time.

I always wonder when kobestans complain about "bail out shots" what game they are watching.
All part of #kobesystem , gotta get your bigs some offensive boards

"He's taking 22 shots per game and making 37.2% of them. Since 1962, only eight players have taken 20 shots per game and shot less than 40%.

In the shot clock era, Kobe has the lowest field goal percentage for a player taking at least 20 shots per game in season.

He's one of 11 players to ever take five three-pointers per game and make less than 30% of them in a season.

The Lakers get outscored by 13.3 points per 100 possessions when Kobe is on the court — the 2nd-worst net rating on the team.

He has missed more shots (380) than all but 22 other NBA players have taken."
