He wasn't trying to catch lebron, lebron was trying to catch him. Why would he care about what lebron was doing? 
Kobe never gave two fukks about what a LeBron was doing...ever. I remember he was doing this one interview a couple years back with somebody and they was like "sounds like you're not scared of LeBron" and Kobe was like... "ya think"

There's nothing about Bron game appealing enough to want to add to your game or study and break down. I'm sure Kobe wasn't up at night thinking
