:russ: I remember that 04 All Star Game, when Kobe and Allen were both in, they would never pass the ball. Only time Allen passed to Kobe was in crunch time with a little over a minute or so left, and it looked like Allen intentionally threw a bad pass to Kobe, but Kobe still got the ball, hit a fade away 3 anyways, and Allen was like :rudy:

Ray Allen "knew" when to fall back?

Breh....he was forced to lean back. Dont forget Avery Bradley took Ray Allen's spot as starting SG on the Celtics last year and Allen has NO chance of ever starting on the Heat without injury to Wade.

He's a bench player in these days and times....Kobe's a starter on every team in the NBA.

Ray is 38 years old...and he had an ankle injury which propelled Bradley into that starting spot.

Kobe is the better individual player, I don't see how anyone can dispute that. However, when you consider the help he had, (Shaq and Pau in their primes) You damn well better win with those guys. Also, as a human being, i'd take Ray over Kobe any day of the week :ld:

i said a little...not alot a little

The other guys on the team flat out weren't producing. People forget that Kobe started out that year playing off the ball A LOT. his individual numbers during that period were great, but they team was struggling.

Someone had actually done the research and found that Kobe scoring was completely dictated by how the team was doing. If the Lakers were trailing and struggling to score Kobe would increase his scoring output, if the team was winning he'd dial it back.

Kobe is better but i'd rather build around. He can play with anyone since he doesn't need the ball in his hands.

This niqqa just said that you damn well better win with Pau:russ::stopitslime:
Pau is greatly overrated and underrated at the same time, but he isn't a player that can carry a team to a championship like Shaq, whom you grouped Pau with.

5 years ago Pau was a damn good player. If you have Kobe and Pau in their primes you should be winning. I didn't say he was as good as Shaq, you jump to conclusions ass nikka. :upsetfavre:

ray could've won a title on that sonic team if they were healthy. They took the last second of a game 6 without their second and third leading scorers.

Kobe had d12, nash and gasol and barely made the damn playoffs. He's great but can't play with anyone like ray can. That's all I said.

Come on breh....dont say things like this.:snoop:

You really think the 2005 Sonics, the only Sonics team to make the playoffs with Ray Allen on the team, would have beaten the 2005 Pistons in the NBA Finals? Or better yet, beat the 2005 Suns (prime Stoudemire/Nash/Joe Johnson/Marion/Quentin Richardson) in the WCFs?:what:

Starting lineup of:

C Jerome James
PF Reggie Evans
SF Rashard Lewis
SG Ray Allen
PG Luke Ridnour

Key bench players: Antonio Daniels, Damien Wilkins, Nick Collison, and Flip Murray

:usure:

Yes, they lost in Game 6 by 2 points, BUT they won Game 3 by 1 point:whoo:

They could've just as easily been defeated in 5 games breh:yeshrug:

But he won with just Odom & Gasol though.

Ray Allen couldnt win in the watered down eastern conference playoffs on the regular basis with a prime Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell :yeshrug:

Dont get sensitive breh. I never said you said he was good as Shaq but you don't SUPPOSED to win with a prime Pau, you're SUPPOSED to win with a prime Shaq. Pau before coming to LA was a very good player who helped LA get over that hump and put them in the upper echelon. A healthy Amare would've gotten them over that hump too but when you have Amare you don't say " oh, they better win because of him". Like I said Pau is overrated and underrated at the same time, depending who you ask.
