I was 13 I was just bullshyttin. I actually appreciated him, and that was a critical era of my playing career
Iverson would average 45
Jordan would average 50
Shaq would average 60
Not from 05 but Kobe’s mid range game was just..
That fadeaway on fat boy Felton
bean was getting tripple teamed all game and had to jack contested 3s cuz his team had no offence. if bean get open looks he makes em
midrange is a mad easy shot in rhythm too, cats are mad dumb to not utilize that.
I honestly love the sound of the ball going through on midrange more ... that "pop clunk" sounds like a cash register
im david west from the elbow
Another thing that made Kobe's game fun to watch was that he worked for it.
Had his back to the basket, got separation, he could fade, jab step, turn and beat his man. Defender under the basket, dunk on him.
Harden just hits threes or Euro steps or gets a foul.
I just remember an article talking to some scouts who basically said there was no scouting report really for Kobe since he didn't have any preferred section of the court. As that chart shows he has a high volume of shots from all areas of the court and was an effective shooter at pretty much all spots. Also mentioned how he could go left or right, score out of the post, and have every shot in the book.
It’s still considered good or close to it now. The league average is usually around 35-36% from deep, and that 37% he was shooting at the top of the arc is really good anyway.
The lost art of the mid range jumper
