Meek is lame for this.

For the record I don't think anything is sacred, and I'm all for people's right to joke about taboo shyt and to say whatever they want. Joke about 9/11, rape, or whatever you want. But at least make it potent if you do. The Meek bar wasn't even dope. If you're gonna go there, it has to be strong. Meek was trying way too hard to be controversial. And the response to Vanessa Bryant was kinda wack too.

It's also just so early IMO. This was barely a year ago. What @JohnStarksMiddleFinger said is spot on.

@Ineedmoney504 is on the money

It’s not about meek
It’s not about kobe

It’s about celebrity worship teetering on false idolism. Another example of the “speak your mind” art form being neutered
In theory I don't think you're wrong, but I think it's very legit to critique this kind of shyt when it's not done in a creative or dope way, and it's clearly just a play to get attention. Meek's bar was generic and uncreative, and it's some shyt than anyone writing a comment on a youtube video could've thought of in 30 seconds.

I agree there's absolutely way too much pressure these days on what you can and can't say, and I worry about free speech. And there's definitely too much celebrity worship, but Kobe was for real larger than life, and represented to many people the possibilities of what human beings can achieve. His legacy is much bigger than just a man.

This isn't some crazy example of people just wanting to be offended. Not to sound tactless myself, but Kobe's body is damn near still warm. This tragedy is barely a year old. If you're gonna be the first rapper to drop Kobe bars related to the chopper crash, they should be way doper than what Meek did.

All the shyt Meek's getting he asked for himself. Being in your 30's and cursing at a widow is a clown move. :manny:

he is doing more for the community than a lot of people. But no thread on this? this board is full of shyt :mjlol:

People gravitate to the negative more than the positive stuff, that is a well known fact. Sometimes I notice they do this to only certain artists, Meek is one of them. If it was one of their favorites they wouldn’t be as outraged.

I wouldn’t have said it
I wouldn’t have cursed her
the rap was uninspired

Rush Limbaugh died yesterday and I bet people would laugh if his name came up in rap today. Why?
