At the end of the day, Kobe has the respect of HIS peers who came in the League with him in the 90s and those young kids stepping into the NBA within the last 5 years.....they all look at him like a walking, breathing, living legend

Only on the internet do people not give Kobe the credit he deserves, the media/NBA athletes all spout basically the same rhetoric...if Kobe aint better than Jordan, he's the closest one

Someone's gonna have to explain to me how you guys are acting like it's a given that Kobe was the best player in '07-'08 when Bron put up 30, 8, and 7 on 48% while having a broken down Big Z as his 2nd best player and being the only ball handler/creator on his team. Because I'm just not seeing it.

Also explain to me how a guy can be the best player in the league for 5-7 years, like some of you are saying, and only have one MVP to show for it.

I've seen what 5-7 years of "best player in the league, hands down" looks like, and it got Bron and MJ plenty of MVP's.
