Most players could and would return to the game if they didn't have to worry about actually being not-garbage. Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, Larry Bird, Steve Francis, Bill Russell...everybody could play in the NBA TODAY if all they had to do is hoist up shots and wave to the crowd

Matter fact Sixers should go ahead and give Iverson another contract if winning games doesn't matter anymore. I know he's at home thinking the exact same thing "shyt I could do THAT"

:russ: and :wow:

These people are buying these tickets to see him go out guns ablazing, not to see Russell practice his scoop shot and serenade Kendall Kardashian.
This is best for business, not to mention it helps the tank.

Do you, gawd.

I don't know how anyone can objectively say this season doesn't affect his legacy. As great as he's been through his 20 year career this season just holds a magnifying glass to all his flaws that his enormous talent was able to overcome (taking bad shots, selfishness, thinking he's bigger than the game) It's simply so bizarre that it's hard to even have respect for the guy at this point. He doesn't want to win more than he wants to be the man. Byron Scott isn't a good coach but at some point a Hall of Fame player supposedly who wants to win more than anyone else has to take his own play into account and do what's best for the team. I think it speaks volumes that there hasn't been some sort of a mutiny amongst his teammates. It's grown old and tired at this point.

I was a Kobe stan growing up but no human being is above criticism. No one has earned the right to play the way he's played this year while shouldering this much responsibility.

It's amazing what the gunslinger mythos can do for a guy. You can get away with a lot under the guise of "going down shooting" or "leaving it all on the field/court". Somehow failing while doing stupid shyt is held in higher esteem than just plain failure :mjlol: (see Brett Favre).

Kobe is who he has always been and that is what his stans actually connect to. All the things that you listed as negatives are actually considered positive by his followers (:whoa: only for Kobe though). There is nothing really surprising or out of character about this. Kobe made it clear years ago, that he was not the type of superstar that you wanted to have as he grew old. So nothing has really changed. Nothing is new here. He's the same guy, just minus the physical tools, FO, coaching, and teammates that made him into the legend that he is.

Up until the Cavs traded for Timothay MozGov, Lebron James was the real head coach of the Cavs. Lebron does not like playing on teams with structure. That's why he left Miami and went back to Cleveland. Pat Riley had Lebron working too hard, and was breathing down his neck all the time. Cavs management be having Lebron do what ever the hell he want's to do damned near, and Lebron like's it like that.

And Lebrons James is going to the finals every year to. So I can understand him being a selfish me first I coach the team I run the team I sub myself out type of guy...because playing like that puts him in position to make it to the nba finals ever year...

Meanwhile Kobe chucking 17 3's...laughing about it...then talking about he don't know when his legs are going to "go"

Tim Duncan hasn't had a 10 inch vertical in 5 years...but somehow kobe needs a 40 inch vertical to make a 15 foot jumpshot :bryan:

This whole "my legs are gone" angle is so fukking trash:bryan:

Dude been to hurt to play going on 3 years so his legs should be fresh as fukk:bryan:

Another player who overdid it with the HGH and now his body is breaking down faster than anyone can explain...word to Tiger Woods :bryan:
