"There's going to be some games like that. That you're going to just live and die with it, and you're just hoping that you don't die too much,"
Scott told reporters. "You're hoping you can live a little bit more, but yeah there's going to be some nights like that."
This is not the first time Scott has refused to assign any blame to Bryant for his atrocious shot selection. Earlier this season Scott has said
he is fine with the shots Bryant is taking and even
claimed that the Lakers' offense is more "settled" when Bryant is on the floor. It should no longer be a surprise at this point that Scott is unwilling to criticize Bryant's performance, and while he was at least
willing to admit that a few of Bryant's shots against the Sixers were "ill-advised," from the sound of his comments it would appear that Scott is resigned to such shots and not actively trying to change those habits.
