His game at that age won't be based strictly on jump shooting. Part of the reason he has worked on his post skills and has became a better at catching and shooting and at age 35 no reason to be shooting like a super star anyway, not like he's trying to emulate somebody he's seen before. At that age he should have a reduced role anyway.

take it easy there negrodamus. he said himself after this contract he's retiring.
Nah.... really??? Ya think???

At 36 signing a new 2 year contract on top of the one he has now? Ya think???

Ya think???
You think you're a prophet or something? nikkas gotta think before they hit that create thread button.

You guys act like we don't see the writing on the wall, like you are doing us a favor. I have 2 words for you : cap space.

oh ok :ohhh: :upsetfavre:

:dahell:

you betta hope lebron develop his finesse game or he'll be even worse when he cant run over people no more
Remember how Jordan used to live in the post when he turned 33 ish?

We've seen this act before, clones. THis is nothing new. By then I would think Lebron would have his pot game in full speed since it's been improving vastly since he came to MIA.

The man stays working on his game. THis isnt some Shaq lite thats gonna show up to camp out of shape.

Kobe will play until the end of that contract and collect every dollar even though it will hurt the team.

Even if he were to retire the contract would still count against the cap so wether he plays or not his contract is still on the books.

Remember the Alan Houston contract. The Knicks might still be paying him as we speak :bryan:

@wire28 Lebron is capable of fitting into a new role. Where as Kobe will be in his death bed demanding the ball. THis is why i :laff: when they talk about pairing Lobe and Carmelo.

Like, really??

Dwight WON!!!

He's been playing at a high level since 18. If I'm blessed to see him still going at 35, I'll take 10 5 and 3 off the bench if it's helping the respective team get to the next level. Otherwise take your flabby ass home and hang it up.

Kobe can still play and he could play for another 5 years IMO. He's a hard worker and keeps himself i shappe.

Thing is Kobe wont be the Kobe we knew and rather than be a shell of himself i think his ego would push him to slit his own wrist. Kobe has that MJ gene where he MUST be the man at all times no matter the circumstances. Imagine him 2 years from now at 37 thinking he could run with a 19 year old Wiggins or Parker. His coach may not want to put him in that situation but his ego will override the coach and try to go at the young cars.

I can respect that. But every body don't have the same mentality. Whether that's going to benefit the Lakers or not, only time will tell if it does.
