What does my age have to do with it you fukking clown? :laff:

I swear you old ass nikkas act like stats and videos don't exist. This shyt happened in 2000 not fukking 500 B.C. :laff:
Point is you didn't watch the games. You were too young. Kobe was still a top 5 player in the league and the Lakers don't win in any of their title years without him. Shaq by himself couldn't get it done. Before Kobe developed into a top tier player Shaq led teams were routinely getting swept out of the playoffs. The Lakers barely got out of the WCF in 2000 and 2002 and we are supposed to believe they would have still won with Kobe taken out of the picture?

Kobe's playoff numbers during the 3-peat.

2000 - 21.1/4.5/4.4
2001 - 29.4/7.3/6.1
2002 - 26.6/5.8/4.6

Shaq was obviously the better player, but to act like Kobe wasn't needed shows how much of an idiot you are.

Man, the ego on Kobe is getting worse by the day.:laff: Dude seemed like he was way more thankful of Shaq when they were actually at odds than he is now when they allegedly have made peace. Kobe is such a student of the game yet never seems to admit he hasn't played with a player the caliber of Shaq regardless if he is lazy or not.

To piggyback off your post.

Back then, the WCFs were considered the "real" NBA Finals.

2000 they played the Blazers. Shaq averaged 25.9 ppg, 12.4 rebs, 4.3 assts, and 1.9 blks. Kobe averaged 20.4 ppg, 4.9 rebs, 5.9 assts, 1.6 stls, and 2.1 blks

2001 they played the Spurs. Shaq averaged 27 ppg, 13.0 rebs, 2.5 assts, and 1.3 blks. Kobe averaged 33.3 ppg, 7.0 rebs, 7.0 assts, and 1.5 stls

2001 they played the Kings. Shaq averaged 30.3 ppg, 13.6 rebs, 1.6 assts, and 2.4 blks. Kobe averaged 27.1 ppg, 6.3 rebs, 3.9 assts, 1.4 stls, and 1.1 blks

Both Shaq and Kobe were responsible the Lakers success. There wasnt any "carrying" of Kobe back then. Yes, Shaq was the better player then....however Kobe was still top 5 himself starting in 2001 like @Jplaya2023 stated

This has got to hurt the big fella... Especially since he formed that fake kinship with Kobe just so they could gang up on Dwight together...

Naw Shaq.... Kobe still views you as the fat goofy n1gga that underachieved and tainted his legacy

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Last year was Kobe's beast season since 07-08. Def in his top 5
No, 09 and 2010 Kobe were significantly better. Especially when you look at the defensive end.

2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The only year I see 2013 have an argument over is 2005. I would even take 2000 Kobe over last year's version. 2013 he was a better scorer, but a liability on the defensive end. While 2000 Kobe was the best perimeter defender in the league.

kobe started being top 5 in 2001
He was a top 5 talent in 2000, but yeah I agree he became top 5 in 2001.

:wtf: There has to be more to this quote? Last year wasn't even a top 10 Kobe season. Anyone who agrees with that shyt didn't watch Kobe in his prime or is too young to remember how good he was.

I assume he's saying this because of what a dysfunctional mess the team was last year and he basically willed them into the playoffs. To do what he did at his age/mileage was incredible. The team quit for most of the season before he just said "fukk it."

Has Kobe ever had a season where he was clearly the best player in the league? The early 2000's it was obviously Shaq, the mid 00's it was KG then Nash for a year or two, then Dirk and Lebron around 2009 to present day.

Problem is a lot of these dudes never watch the western conference playoffs during that period, but instead watch youtube for the nba finals of all those series and nothing else... they didn't see the games where kobe won cause shaq either fouled out or in foul trouble. or the one sacramento game where kobe won it when shaq fouled out.

lol @ the haters acting like Kobe is here lying.

EVERY season since he left Orlando Shaq would come in out of shape, or injured and wait till the season started to get the injury taken care of. Shaq was flabby and sick at 33, when has any elite big man gotten flabby and sick so fast?

Kobe is the antithesis of Shaq, a player who worked day and night to maximize his talents. If Shaq worked as hard he'd have more than four rings.
