They would be screaming for “me too” movement to save them
That's not even remotely true.
For instance, I just looked up the top 3pt-shooters in the NCAA in 2015. The top-10 were shooting between 48% and 53% from three-point range. You know how many of them are in the NBA right now? NONE. There's like one guy in G-league and a couple others who played in small teams in Europe and that's it.
There were around 50 different NCAA D-1 players who shot at least 45% from three-point range that year. FIFTY. And almost none of them are in the NBA. That's how difficult it is to make the NBA.
Corey Hawkins was out there shooting 6 threes a game hitting 48% and averaging 21-5-4. He went undrafted, was waived by the Heat before the season started, averaged 11-3-2 shooting 39% from three in G-league for a couple teams that season but that isn't good enough. Never saw NBA interest again, played a year in Europe where he didn't do very well and then called it quits.
And those are man-sized athletes doing that shyt against elite men defenders with an NBA ball. You think a woman who has played her entire life with a women's ball against female defenders has the slightest chance of matching them?
It is outrageous
Division 1 starters from elite programs wash out of the NBA. What WNBA player in her prime could start for a major conference D1 men's team? The answer is NONE.
Once again you are adding to it. Who said anyting about postiive impact or playing 82 games? You realize there are plenty of players in the league that don't do either of those things right? In today's NBA, if you can knock down an open 3 you can find a spot on the roster.
come on now....You do realize that 12-15 men are all phone call away from washing out in the NBA right? There are players in the NBA that didnt' start for a major D1 team. What you guys fail to realize when you talk about these washed out male players is that there are players that are smaller, with inferior stats, and/or less athletic in the league right now.
listen to the logic of this.well he didn't say "start in the nba", just playWhere the Kobe dikkeaters to defend this garbage

Is Quinn Cook under 6 feet with limited athleticism?Eh idk and I feel a lot of people in this thread are exaggerating his point. Could all WNBA players play in the NBA? No. Would they be an all-star in the NBA? No. Could a woman's team compete with the men? No. Could a select few survive on an NBA team? Possibly. A player with a handle and a wet shot that is food on defense could survive. I mean that basically describes Quinn Cook.
It's funny you say that... Because Kobe was a high schooler who was dropped right into the NBA and succeeded.. He probably thinks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less of "NBA talent" than you or anyone else does.. Not that he believes they are all scrubs... But he has first hand knowledge that you can drop a lot of nikkas in there and give them 5 minutes and they won't fukk up...No WNBA player would make an NBA team if they went through the same rigors of making the league as the men do. He's talking about skipping over all the legwork and dropping them on a team. A damn high schooler could do that if you said "stand in a corner and shoot when they double me" or "dribble it up the court on an inbounds and pass as soon as you get to half court". The WNBA ball is smaller, the three point line is 22' at the top and 21.5 in the corners. Talen Horton Tucker hasn't played any significant minutes in the NBA and would average 60 in the WNBA.
You're really underselling how difficult it is to make it in the NBA. A guy like Lance Stephenson is playing in China right now before the age of 30, he's just one of hundreds/thousands of professional players across the world that are more talented, athletic and physically imposing than those women.
This isn't a knock on them but I don't think you really understand or appreciate how physically over-matched these women would be. Della Done is 6'5 and she's a big in the WNBA.. that's smaller than your average shooting guard. Diana Taurasi and Maya Moore are 6'0 but don't have the requisite athleticism to make it in the NBA.. Shane Larkin, for example, is the same height as them with way more athleticism and he's playing in the Euroleague.
Seriously, what’s wrong with Wade and Kobe? Two former “alpha” males saying that most ludicrous thing you ever heard of. Stuff even the dumb average Joe wouldn’t say.
Once a boy hits puberty, it’s over. Local under 15s year old boys would smash and destroy the WNBA all stars. People truly underestimate the differences between the sexes.

Why do y'all keep saying MAKE IT TO THE NBA????
He said they could PLAY in the NBA. He didn't even say a full season

Come on now. Kobe was the son of an NBA player and grew up balling with real professional talent his entire life. His 6'6" height and great athleticism and unparalleled experience enabled him to jump right into the NBA and become.....the 9th/10th man on the Lakers. You know, one of those guys you just called a scrub. He was only putting up 7-2-1 on 41% shooting his rookie year. It's funny you say that... Because Kobe was a high schooler who was dropped right into the NBA and succeeded.. He probably thinks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY less of "NBA talent" than you or anyone else does.. Not that he believes they are all scrubs... But he has first hand knowledge that you can drop a lot of nikkas in there and give them 5 minutes and they won't fukk up...
I mean most NBA rotations are like 8-10 players... Them other 5 dudes don't even play the games. Of course he thinks those scrubs would be better off being the GOAT WNBA players.. They scrubs either way to him
I can play in NBA too, sign me up, fukk it even if it's the worst team in the league like the warriors. Why do y'all keep saying MAKE IT TO THE NBA????
He said they could PLAY in the NBA. He didn't even say a full season

There y'all go leaping again... He said play. Do I think a PRIME Della Don could come in off the bench and run around and score a few shots... SureCome on now.
There ain't anyone in the WNBA who would have a prayer of touching rookie Kobe's combination of height, skill, and athleticism. They wouldn't even be scrubs, they wouldn't make the G-League. Kobe was just bullshytting agendas like a lot of athletes do when they talk sports.
Nah cause we not even sure you can play in the WNBA.... lets be serious here. nikkas in this thread making that assumption, most didn't even play Varsity at their own bum ass high school....I can play in NBA too, sign me up, fukk it even if it's the worst team in the league like the warriors.
Yall going with this logic: "if a 12th man is getting one minute per game to play or DNP's very often, that means anyone could fill in that spot and play one minute on court"
But you guys fail to comprehend is if it was one on one with that 12th man trying his hardest against the goat female basketball player who tries her hardest, that dude would destroy her so badly she would think of retiring from basketball.
Or pick 3 vs 3 of three worst nba players right now against 3 best WNBA players and see what happens![]()
Are you 6'5 with a jumper like Della?? No you're not... Can you run up and down the floor with that pace without getting tired or needing rest? Probably not. Can you run plays or know how to even start setting up for one? Do you know the game deeper than them?
Bro... u would have to make it 1st... to you know... actually play. .
By that logic I can "play" in the nba...
shyt, anybody with a beating heart, working brain, arms and legs could technically play then
