Knicks: 93 til infinity
well thats why its not compeitive
if you have different tams taking Ls to the same team, and that team changing every few years, its not competitive. The West was competitive until all of the teams got old.
So then the NBA as a whole was not competitive since the West too was taking Ls to the Bulls. Not competitive to me implies that it was a cakewalk for the Bulls to win those 6 championships, which is far from true if you watched the games. And actually no one really believed that the Bulls would lose in the Finals: if they were to lose, most thought it would be to the Knicks (92, 93) or the Pacers (98). Knicks and Pacers are the only teams to play a game 7 against the Bulls in the championship years, no West team did that in the Finals. If anything, and if we're following your logic of competitvness as being who could challenge the Bulls, then the East was more competitive than the West.
According to your logic the West was not competitive in 94 and 95 since the same team with a major change (OT for Drexler) beat everyone else.

Would have been Orlando vs. LA for about 5 straight years at least.

Those guys were your idols, and now players are your peers in life. I had a mid-life re-evaluation when I realized Derrick Rose was my age. It happens man.
