U could make a whole subforum on just kobe threads

*new young player gets a shoe deal*
Nobody ever will have a comparable shoe deal like the one true shooting gawd :salute: thank u kobe for ssving adidas then jumping to nike smd saving them both :to:

But on topic...kobe was an elitr skill that came from an undying hunger to be great. Robert horry story from the players tribune summed him perfrctly
If kobe sucked at something he was gonna keep at it until he was better then u at it. If kobe saw u do something good he was trying to be better then u at it. Like learning some of shammgods handles or competing with fisher and hotry in 3pt contest kobe was gonns force himself to grow

Serious question how tall is kobe I remember at one point they where saying he is as tall as 6' 8" I know he is listed as 6' 6" and in the video they said 6' 5".

He was 17 at the time of the video, hence 6'5. He went on 2 grow another inch... The 6'7, 6'8 measurements came from his days with the afro according to him :russ:

People cheapen Kobe's skillet by attributing it to killer instinct instead of his immense shot creating talent and mastery of offensive fundamentals.

I posted that video the other day to point out just how advanced Kobe Bryant was from day one, its really hard to be that polished as a scorer early on. The only other player in recent memory that had that complete scoring polish so early is Kyrie Irving.

When people compared A. Wiggins to Kobe (yeah people really did that, even recently) they say that he has all of the tools but he only lacks a "killer instinct." That's pretty lazy in my opinion. What Wiggins truly lacks is the fluidity and one-on-one skills of a great guard like Kobe, TMac, Iverson, Jordan ... etc.
I'm with all in all points except for the Wiggins part since Kobe himself made the comparison. Wiggins doesn't have as advanced skills as Kobe did at the same age tho

His footwork looks so effortless at 17 :ohlawd:. This dude must have been living in the gym since like 10 years old
