Most of his great games were meaningless regular season games. For all of the playoff games he played in, he had very few iconic ones.

The Lakers network rated his top 3 performances:
81 pts against a lottery team in a regular season game
62 points against Dallas in a regular season game
Game tying and game winning shots in a playoff game against Phoenix (they lost the series bad)

when people think of jordan's iconic games, they think 63 in boston garden...55 vs. chuck in the Finals...38-point flu game....GW NBA finals shot vs utah where he held his follow thru for like 5 minutes (finished that game with 45 pts)...GW jumper over bryon russell in the 97 Finals...etc

all of these performances have something in common:mjpls:

meanwhile kobe's most memorable Finals play is passing to derek fisher for a clutch 3:dead:

play 20 seasons and have ZERO memorable Finals performances brehs:mjlol:

Man I always enjoyed watching Kobe play. Was never a fan but respected his game. This is tough to watch, but I can't stop watching at the same time.

Wasn't there an interview a few yrs back where Kobe said he would never go out avg 17 or 19 ppg and he scuffed at it too like he could never avg that much:mjlol:

Be known as a "great" solely on the basis of the # of rings you have* and be a career 41% shooter in the Finals. :mjlol:

Kobe's most impressive Finals was when he averaged a 26-6-5 on 51% shooting against a really, really overmatched New Jersey team. Man, Kerry Kittles and Keith Van Horn just couldn't stop him!

Of course, half those shots were open, with Shaq's fat ass dominating the game.

Shaq rode 36-13-4-3 on 60% shooting to an unanimous MVP...and that was Kobe's best Finals. :pachaha:

Kobe's 2nd-best Finals was...um...um... :francis:

(That's actually unfair - he got his status by playing in LA and having a huge shot volume, not just by being on team that made it to a lot of Finals.)
