Y chromosomes have their own haplotypes that are only present in male offpsring. For the sex chromosomes we have more European influence in Y than X since White men contributed most of our White ancestry (guess how).

I was responding to @Lumumba saying "Womens DNA results dont display the fathers info". I was wrong in misinterpreting it solely as for ancestry sex chromosome-DNA type results, rather than overall/autosomal DNA. You guys are right.

But if you're looking at autosomal DNA, then the woman's DNA result would show some of her father's info.

I think Henry Louis Gates did some research and found that about 1/3 of black men have a direct paternal line (father, father's father, father's father's father etc)....that traces to Europe, not Africa. My haplogroup is African, so I'm good

I actually had no European DNA.

I was linked to Native Americans and Asia.

Most Black people that are naturally from Texas and Oklahoma(Pre-Civil War) are linked to Native Americans.
