Japanese devs make the best games. You could make a case for western devs being better last gen, but now?

In the 8-bit to 32-bit era maybe, and on consoles only. in the ps2 to Xbox 360 era, I fail to see how j-devs even have had an impact.


If you bring in PC games, J-devs have been outshined since Tie fighter and mechwarrior 2. Triple A PC games have been far superior to Japanese games for a very long time.

In fact From Soft games like bloodborne and Armored Core seem to take a lot from from those old classics.
